Winter Power Conservation

With temperatures forecasted to dip into single digits this week, Petersburg Municipal Power & Light would like to ask customers to conserve energy! If the SEAPA system loads are too high, PMPL will need to supplement our electrical load with diesel generators during peak times which may lead to diesel surcharges on customers’ electric bills.

Please be conscious of usage and conserve as much as possible, especially during peak load times, which are 7 am – 9 am, and 5 pm – 7 pm.
Using your woodstoves, adding a clothing layer to be comfortable, and turning off lights that are not needed will help to keep our electrical loads within SEAPA’s capacity.
