ADOPTION OF ORDINANCES #2025-06, 2025-07, 2025-08, 2025-09, 2025-10

ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE #2025-06: Ordinance # 2025-06: An Ordinance Amending Section 4.28.130 of the Petersburg Municipal Code Relating to the Sales Tax Exemption for Seniors to Limit the Exemption to Low-Income Seniors and Directing that the Proposed Amendment be Submitted to the Qualified Voters of the Borough has been approved and will be on the October 7, 2025 ballot. If approved by voters, provisions of the ordinance take effect on January 1, 2026.

ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE #2025-07: Ordinance #2025-07, An Ordinance Updating Chapter 14.16 of the Municipal Code, Entitled "Electric Utility" has been adopted by the Borough Assembly. Provisions of the ordinance take effect immediately.

ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE #2025-08: Ordinance #2025-08, An Ordinance Updating Chapter 14.04.420 of the Municipal Code, Entitled “Water Rate Schedule and Fees has been adopted by the Borough Assembly. Provisions of the ordinance take effect immediately.

ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE #2025-09:Ordinance #2025-09, An Ordinance Updating Chapter 14.08.320 of the Municipal Code, Entitled “Sewer Collection Rates” has been adopted by the Borough Assembly. Provisions of the ordinance take effect immediately.

ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE #2025-10:Ordinance #2025-10, An Ordinance Adding “Section N - Marine Passenger Ship Refuse” to Chapter 14.12.140, Entitled "Rates for Refuse Collection" has been adopted by the Borough Assembly. Provisions of the ordinance take effect immediately.

Copies of these ordinances are posted at the municipal offices at 12 S. Nordic Drive, the US Post Office, the City of Kupreanof, the Library, and the Municipal Harbor office for review during normal office hours.
