Voter qualifications for the Petersburg Borough October 6, 2026  Municipal Election

 

To vote in this election, you must:

1) Be qualified to vote in State of Alaska elections under AS 15.05.010;

2) be registered to vote in state elections at a residence address within the Borough at least thirty (30) days immediately preceding the election;

3) have been a resident of the Petersburg Borough for at least thirty (30) days immediately preceding the election; and

4) not be disqualified under Article V of the State of Alaska Constitution.

The last day to register and qualify for the October 6, 2026  Municipal Election is  Sunday, September 6, 2026Register to vote online. Voter registration forms are available at the front desk of the Borough Administration/Finance office, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

 

Vote on Election Day

The 2026 Borough Election will be held Tuesday, October 6, 2026  from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm in the Parks and Recreation Activity Room at 500 North 3rd St. Don’t forget to bring your identification

 

Vote Early In Person 

When:
September 16 – October 5, 2026 at noon
Monday–Friday: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Where:
Municipal Building (Downstairs), 12 S Nordic Drive. Don’t forget your ID!

Final Day for Early Voting: Monday, October 5 — 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM

 

Vote By Email or Mail 

Absentee ballots can be requested January 1, 2026 - October 1, 2026 at 4:30pm.

Complete the Absentee by Mail or Email Ballot Application and return the signed application to the Clerk no later than October 1, 2026 at 4:30pm using any of the submission methods listed below.
