Vacancies in Elected Offices

The Petersburg Borough is accepting letters of interest from citizens who wish to serve the community in the following positions until the October 2026 municipal election:

  • Planning Commissioner
  • Public Safety Advisory Board Member

Letters of interest may be submitted to the Clerk’s Office at the Borough Municipal Building, mailed to PO Box 329, Petersburg AK 99833 or emailed to bregula@petersburgak.gov. For additional information about either vacant position, please contact the Clerk at 907-772-5405.

Qualifications for Appointment: Applicants must be registered voters of the Borough and Borough residents for at least one year.
