Water Utility

The Petersburg Borough Water Utility strives to provide the community with an ample supply of clean, safe water for consumption, industry, and fire protection.

The Water Utility treats, filters, and disinfects surface water from its two reservoirs, Cabin Creek Dam and City Creek Dam, which have a combined capacity of approximately 267 million gallons.

The utility’s distribution system stretches from Sandy Beach Park to 4.5-mile Mitkof Highway and is available to all major developments within Service Area One limits.
