The Petersburg Branding Project was completed in 2012 to develop a clear and consistent marketing message about Petersburg.

While consistency is important, the brand itself is versatile and adaptable to many uses. It is a tool that can be used to convey information to new residents, visitors, employees, and businesses. It can generate interest in an existing business’ new product or service, or encourage downtown shopping. 

In 2015, the Petersburg branding project was awarded Best Project Implementation by the Alaska Chapter of the American Planning Association.
