Petersburg Community Cold Storage

Constructed in 2006, the Petersburg Community Cold Storage provides cold storage, blast freezing, ice sales, and packaging space to seafood processors and other businesses in the food industry.

The PCCS holding room has capacity for up to 500,000 pounds of product as well as hold additional product in outside freezer vans. Three commercial blast freezers can turn 75,000 lbs of product every 24 hrs. The facility is equipped with tables, glaze tank, freezer racks, pallets, cardboard totes, ice machine, commercial scale, forklifts, loading dock, and health/sanitation equipment.

Direct marketers are welcome and the PCCS provides dedicated space for filleting, sorting, and packing product. 

All seafood processors must obtain a DEC Seafood Processing Permit prior to operating in in the facility.
